Tales of Symphonia: Complete

I have just completed one of the endings of ToS:DotNW. I plant to play through again of course.

Great game, quite an ending. I'd say this is probably the Tales of with the most lovey dubby action. Great for fans of the first game, but not really the game to introduce someone to the Tales of series.

No anime cutscenes (except for the opening sequence), but the motion capture cutscenes makes up for that (I don't think any other Tales of game uses motion capture). The scenes were definately dynamic and exciting.

A lot of maps were recycled from the old games, and the puzzles weren't as hard, but it was still a fun game. It was very nostalgic to do that Balacruf Masoleum puzzle again (XP).

There's not too much replay value unfortunately. There aren't that many secrets to get, so that's unfortunate. Still a fun game once you get into it. The field element system definately works better than the FoF thing in Tales of the Abyss.

So yeah. Totally reccomend it to fans of the Tales of series. Especially for those who have played the first Tales of Symphonia.

  1. Like, using actors to capture the motion of the characters rather than a 3D animator
