Pangya Japan's April fool's joke

『週刊 AfterBurner』 パニャゴスティーニ

I can't understand it, but I'll talk about what I can understand.

It looks like they're promoting the Afterburners Blue (I can't remember the actual name of the clubset) set. I don't know why they chose the afterburners, the Mythril Swords would have made a lot better promo.

The second and third link from the left on the navigation bar appears to be ways to customize your afterburners. You can choose the handle and the wings. There are some "coming soon" placeholders, but I doubt those will be filled in.

Also, the fourth link from the left on the top navigation bar leads to a page about a set of "P5P" games, The PangyaM@stery. The logo is a parody of the IDOLM@STER logo, I wonder if the "game" is the game. Clicking on the images leads to a description about the game, but I can't read it (can't google-translate it either). The game covers look interesting though.

Can't figure out what the far right link is. I can read the required spaces (which appear to be the requirements to run the game). I think it's more promotion. The link below leads to a page that advertises Pangya. A similar diagram appears there, pointing out the key features of Pangya.

Number 1 is the friendly interface. Number 2 is the various settings and courses. Number 3 is the large number of items to customize characters (the 1000 I assume is the number of options). The Afterburners page uses similar writing, so I assume that it's probably the same.

So there's my cover of Pangya JP's april fools event (it's April 1st in Japan right now BTW). Maybe someone who actually speaks Japanese could give better explanations.

Pangya announcement!

Announcement

Well, the last day of March. Pangya US was scheduled to launch late March, but it's now the end of March. That's okay though, they at least posted an announcement stating why it's late.

Looks like account transfers aren't going very smoothly, but I'd rather they have a thorough migration rather than risking the loss of some data.

The end of the announcement says that Pangya will be out April. I'll be watching out for that, can't wait

Hello Kitty Online coming to North America

Hello Kitty Online : Game Information About Hello Kitty Online for PC at MMORPG.COM

Aeria Games (who currently publishes Shin Megami Tensei amoung many other online games) has licensed the Hello Kitty MMO. I'm wondering why I'm surprised by this.

I found the Hello Kitty MMO some time ago, I think before this blog started. Anyway, here it is, an official NA English localizations. Hello Kitty fans, go nuts.

I have an Aeria account, so I may give it a try, just for the lols or something.

桜ノ雨学園

桜ノ雨学園

You know that Hatsune Miku song, Sakura no ame? Well, it's got a whole site devoted to it! I assume it's by the songwriter or mixer or something, but it's cool. I can't read it, but I found sheet music! Now, I shall learn it and do a karaoke or something! XD It'd be great, considering it's my last year of high school and everything.

Luna Online

Luna Online

An MMO coming to North America soon (I've been watching it for a while, it's been Korea exclusive).

The game boasts a mating system, not unlike Asda Story. The difference is, this game looks so much cuter.

I'll definitely check it out when it's released. I'll have to get Kat-chan into it too X3

Aw, how lame...

I got an email saying

"We’re thrilled that you’ve been admitted to UC San Diego, and we’re showcasing our beautiful campus on Admit Day."

Previously, I was informed that I was rejected from college. Now I'm accepted? WTF?

Of course, I got a follow up email saying

"Within the last two hours, you received an email addressed to students who had been admitted to UC San Diego.
As you have quickly realized, this communication was sent to you in error. "

How very lame. Oh well, had my hopes up for a little. Time to get back to work...

ファンタジーアース ゼロ

ファンタジーアース ゼロ

Holy crap this game looks amazing. It's an MMO by Square Enix. It has to be good. From the trailer, it looks pretty. Looking at actual gameplay video: wow!

The graphics look stunning. They don't have to be all realistic to be good you know. The movement looks smooth, gameplay looks nice.

Battle system really gets me. It doesn't look like your normal "click on the enemy to kill them" kind of. It looks like they've got jumping and dodging and reflecting and needing to aim with the bow... Very exciting.

Only in Japanese though. If they released it here in America, I would totaly play it. Square Enix has got my money for sure. Makes me want to play their other MMO, Concerto Gate.

Soon the world will find out

Soon the world will find out

An amazing video that'll only temporarily be online. I have no idea what it's about, but it looks amazing, exciting, whatnot. The current released version is only probably half complete, but it still looks amazing.

UNITY on Windows! Finally!

UNITY: What's New in Unity 2.5

So, they finally released Unity on windows. I've been waiting for this for a while, and now it's finally out. I'll give it a test, and I'll probably try to buy it (though, it looks like a high end program that's really expensive).

I'll give it a try maybe this summer, when I can get full use of the 30 days trial.

If anyone else wants to try it, tell me how it is. It looks very promising.

[電脳ペット] 初音ミクとあそんでみた [STEREO]

A little AR Miku doll chasing around a Negi object. Pretty amazing what you can do with technology nowadays. Wish I knew how to program AR, then I could make cute virtual dolls too.

A button to button reunion + Happy Birthday Dad

That's what Abe called it. Don't ask.

We saw Coraline. It was creepy awesome. That's really all I have to say about it. One of the few movies nowadays that's neither CG, hand-drawn, or actor & camera. The clay-mation/stop-motion was extremely impressive. The storytelling was masterful too. I haven't read the book yet, but I have a feeling I should. A film I would totally recommend.

Arrived home to Dad's birthday dinner. Shrimp, fresh crab, fried rice, mushroom soup, and some other stuff I can't remember. Quite a feast. Too bad I'm allergic to shell-fish. I enjoyed it.

A very eventful day. A reunion with the Knights as well as a birthday feast. It's almost the end of the day though. Luckily tomorrow I've got the day off!

A great day, turned excellent.

EDIT: Here' some more! :D

Ntreev Pangya announcement

Ntreev.net

Kind of. NtreevUSA has announced that the new Pangya website will be available on March 12th.

The update just states that the website will be available. The servers to play the game will be coming soon after.

Ntreev's really showing some promise, so I have no doubt that they'll keep their word, releasing the server before the end of March. Some push back wouldn't be too bad, as long as it isn't Starcraft Ghost.

My last day of pangya

Too bad I can't actually play. The Pangya US server officially closes tomorrow at 1PM, but I'll be at school then so I won't get a chance to log on or whatever. That's okay.

Pangya won't be gone forever though. Ntreev has scheduled to release their server in the same month that OGPlanet closes. It's quite exciting really. I hope I won't have to start all over though.

Just a quick post about that. I shall post again upon the opening of the new server :)

Pangya PSP in English? O.O

Gamestop.com - Buy Pangya - Sony PSP

It appears that gamestop is taking preorders for Pangya PSP. It also appears to be the US release.

A little more research shows that this is very likely true. IGN has a small cover on it, though they're showing screenshots from the Japan release.

http://psp.ign.com/objects/142/14214468.html

Either way, I can't wait for this to come out. I wonder if I can pre-order it. I hope it comes with some nice pre-order bonus

We are in OKINAWA!

Alright, last youtube post. (for today)

Here's an advertisement for Okinawa. Very intense. I feel rather dirty after watching that >.>

Funny Japanese Family

Ever make fun of the Japanese? Here's the Japanese making fun of Americans!

Funny, probably not as much to Americans, but you've got to have a sense of humor.

Enjoy

Funny Commercials - Japan TV Channel

Long lead-up, but funny. There are subtitles, so no need to worry about understanding it.
